Great Walgreens Deal on Viactive

Hey guys!

Just wanted to share with you the little deal I got on Viactive calcium chews.  These are my favorite way to get calcium (it's important, ladies!) - but they're so expensive, ($8.99/tub).  Well, I got a few of those $2/1 coupons and was just waiting for them to go on sale.  Sure enough, Walgreens has a $4/1 coupon in their ad, so you can get these for $2.99 each!  I had three of the $2/1 coupons from Red Plum, so I got three tubs.

I also picked up some raw almonds because I'd been craving them, and I used the Walgreens coupons for 2/$1 on the Arizona Iced teas (addicted) and $.89 for the Reynolds Wrap.  :)

Also, I like to stop by the clearance section - they had some pain reliever on clearance for $1.25.  Had to grab a box of this:

Overall, $21.35 total with tax, saving me $22.00! :)

Two transactions, tons of savings!  Great deals today.

First transaction:

Purina Cat Chow was on sale for $4.49.  I had four of the $1/1 coupons that doubled to $2/1, making each bag only $2.49 (Normally $5.49 each.)

Additionally, I had a $3/1 coupon for the BIC razors (on sale for $5.24, normally $6.99)) making them only $2.24.

The Oral B toothbrushes were on sale 2/$6 (normally $4.29 each), and I used the B1G1 free coupon, making each only $1.50.

Retail = $38.94
Total with tax after coupons & sale = $16.61
Savings = $22.33 (57.34%)

Transaction #2

Pick N Save had a great deal on Post Shredded Wheat, in the 5/$10 category, making them only $2 each.  There was a coupon for $1/1 that doubled to $2/1, making these free.  I had one of the coupons from the paper and two printed coupons.

I did three more of the Bic razors - the Soleil Bella were on sale for $4.79 (normally $6.39), with the $3/1 coupons they were only $1.79 each.  The Simply Soleil was on sale for $5.24 (normally $6.99), with the $3/1 coupon was only $2.24.

Then I did two more of the Oral B toothbrushes, and one of the Bonnie Bell vanilla lip glosses they had on sale, because I'm addicted to them.  They're normally $3.39, but they were on sale for $1.69.  I did not have a coupon for this item.

Lastly I got some Cover Girl mascara.  These were on sale for $2.85 (normally $4.70), and I used two $1/1 coupons that doubled to $2/1, making each mascara only $.85.  What a deal on those!

Retail = $54.32
Total with tax after coupons & sale = $13.62
Savings = $40.70 (74.92%)

I definitely think this was my best trip yet!

Sentry Trip 6/14/2011

Today I scored a few sweet deals at Sentry!  My overall take is mildly impressive - saving $25 on a $58 bill, but I did buy a lot of produce and six cans of albacore tuna.  So, I thought I'd just share some of the great deals with you guys. :)

Remember Sentry's rules:

1.  No internet coupons
2.  Max 3x same coupon
3.  No limit on the number of coupons that can be doubled
4.  Double only up to $1
5.  Coupons double on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

(These rules apply to the Sentry's on 71st and Lisbon.)

Bar S Jumbo Franks are on sale $1.25 each.  I used 3x $1/2 coupons that doubled to $2/2, making each of my packs of hot dogs only $0.25!  I got six packs and spent $1.50.  Sweet!

Since it's the start of summer, I wanted to stock up not only on the hot dogs, but also on some delicious marinades for grilling out.  A1 has their marinades on sale for $2.68 each.  I had three $1/1 coupons that doubled to $2/1, making each of them only $.68.  We're set for a while now!

Also, a few deals on popcorn!  I got two different kinds - Jolly Pop was 2/$4, with a $1/2 coupon doubling to $2/2, each was only $1.  (I got three.)  Also I had the $.55/1 Orv Redenbacher popcorn (pop up tub), which doubled to $1.10/1, and they were on sale 3/$4.98 ($1.66 each,) so doubled that made each box only $.56.  (two of them.)

Also, they had some Pilsbury biscuits and crescent rolls on sale, the small ones 10/$10.  I had some of those $.30/2 and $.40/2 coupons, so I got four of the crescent rolls and two of the biscuits, and only spent $4.  These are also the perfect size for us because there are only two of us.  Remember, use coupons on the smallest product you can.  They cost less, and will save you more!

Also, I got a $.75/1 coupon inside the last Homestyle Mac n Cheese I made, so I used it today, they were on sale for $1.99.  With the coupon doubled, it cost me only $.49.  I'm hoping there are more coupons inside them... I'll never have to pay more than $.50 for a homestyle mac n cheese again! :)~

I also got a Farmland Kielbasa and used a $.55/1 coupon, making it $1.89.  We love Kielbasa at our house, so Dan will be excited.

Three cheers for coupons!

Sentry Trip 5/18/2011

First, a quick note about Pick N Save today...

Farmland sausage is on sale for 2/$7.  There is a coupon for $.55/1 Farmland sausage, which will double to $1.10.  You can get these for a mere $2.40.  ((Remember, there is a $25 minimum before coupons will double...))

Also, the big thing this week is the Lunchables!  They are on sale at PNS for 2/$5.  There is also a coupon for $1/1 off of the new Lunchables with fruit that will double and they ARE included in the sale, making these bad boys only $.50 each.  I was sort of shocked there were any left in the store.

Don't forget, Pick N Save is doing DOUBLE Double Daze every Saturday through the end of July!  I'm not sure about ALL Pick N Save stores (because it's not printed in the ad,) but the cashier at my Pick N Save (Market Square on 67th & National) told me they were doing it.  That's doubling of up to 10 coupons (internet included) for each transaction.  SWEET.

And, now some goodies from the Sentry on 71st and Lisbon.

The Pillsbury frosting was on sale also, and with my $.40/1 coupon, came to only $.86.

Last, there was the Lloyd's BBQ tubs!  There were only two left in the store, I actually had three coupons so we'll see if I can use the remaining coupon before it expires.  They were on sale for $3.99, but with two $1/1 coupons doubled, they were only $1.99 each. :)
