Sentry Trip 5/18/2011

First, a quick note about Pick N Save today...

Farmland sausage is on sale for 2/$7.  There is a coupon for $.55/1 Farmland sausage, which will double to $1.10.  You can get these for a mere $2.40.  ((Remember, there is a $25 minimum before coupons will double...))

Also, the big thing this week is the Lunchables!  They are on sale at PNS for 2/$5.  There is also a coupon for $1/1 off of the new Lunchables with fruit that will double and they ARE included in the sale, making these bad boys only $.50 each.  I was sort of shocked there were any left in the store.

Don't forget, Pick N Save is doing DOUBLE Double Daze every Saturday through the end of July!  I'm not sure about ALL Pick N Save stores (because it's not printed in the ad,) but the cashier at my Pick N Save (Market Square on 67th & National) told me they were doing it.  That's doubling of up to 10 coupons (internet included) for each transaction.  SWEET.

And, now some goodies from the Sentry on 71st and Lisbon.

A quick reminder of their coupon policy:

1.  Double coupons on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
2.  Double up to $1
3.  No limit to how many coupons may be doubles
4.  No minimum purchase before doubling begins
5.  NO internet coupons accepted
6.  NO more than 3 of the same identical coupon may be used

Glad trash bags were on sale for $3.99.  I had a coupon for $.75/1, which doubled to $1.50, making each box of trash bags only $2.49.

The Ragu was 2/$2.89, and I used a $1/2 to make them just under $.45 each!

Sargento slices were on sale, and I paired them with a $.75/1 coupon to make them $.99 each.

The Knorr Rice Sides were on sale for $1 each, and I had a coupon for $.50/2, making them $.50 each.

The Pillsbury frosting was on sale also, and with my $.40/1 coupon, came to only $.86.

Last, there was the Lloyd's BBQ tubs!  There were only two left in the store, I actually had three coupons so we'll see if I can use the remaining coupon before it expires.  They were on sale for $3.99, but with two $1/1 coupons doubled, they were only $1.99 each. :)

Total numbers:

Total Sale Value:  $34.60
-$16.80 in coupons (48.5% savings)
Paid only $17.80!

Pick N Save trip 5/18/2011 - Double Daze

Hello, my lovelies!

So sorry for the lapse in blogging here.  I was not available last week / couponing because I was storm chasing, and out of state for several days.  Then, photographing a wedding on Saturday.  Really fun stuff, but keeps me from coupons! :/

SO!  Here is my take for the day.  Three separate transactions (because on Pick N Save Double Daze, they will only double up to 5 coupons per transaction.)  :)

Classico pasta sauce... 2/$4 on sale.  Paired with a $1/2 coupon that doubles to $2/2, I got these jars of pasta sauce for only $1 each. :)  (4 total)

The best deal of the bunch for me... Ken's salad dressing (they have my very favorite Creamy Balsamic and a great olive oil dressing,) - these are on sale for 2/$4.  I had 5 of the $1/1 coupons.  They double to $2/1, and so... all five of these were totally FREE!

I've been waiting for ages for the Tyson Grilled & Ready chicken breasts to go back on sale.  Dan and I can NOT get enough of these.  They were on sale for $6.99 (normally these are $9.99, so that's already $3 off.)  Paired with a $1/1 coupon that doubles to $2/1, I got these for an awesome $4.99 each!  (3 total)

Dan loves these Voila meals.  They are on sale for $3.99, and there's also a coupon for a free Birds Eye steamfresh family size frozen veggie if you buy it.  Win/Win!

And, Dan is obsessed with Peach Snapple.  SO, these were on sale today for $5.99, and I paired them with the $1/1 coupon that doubles to $2/1.  Each 6-pack was only $3.99 - that's like getting each bottle for $.66.  (4 total)

Hershey's chocolate bars are on sale for $.79 each.  I grabbed four and paired them with the B1G1 free coupon, making them essentially $.39 each.

And we can't forget the fun and silly FREE El Monterey burrito 2-pack coupon.  Always good for bumping up a dollar or two on the $25 minimum post-sale pre-coupon total for each transaction!

$1/2 Sun Chips matched with the 2/$5 sale made them only $1.50 each! (4 total)

Plus, there is a coupon for a free Sierra Mist Natural 2-liter with the purchase of any two Sun Chips. :)  That made these 2-liters totally FREE.

There's also a sale on the Kemps Frozen Yogurt cones, 2/$6.  I matched that with a $1/1 coupon, and got this box for $1.  Sweet deal! ;)

Add to these, I also got a few bags of salad at 2/$4. :)

So!  The total info:

TOTAL shelf value: $128.77
-$73.03 savings (56.7% savings)
I only paid $55.74!

Happy Couponing!

Sentry Trip 5/9/11

I did make it to the store after all!   (Shopping list here.)

I ended up also getting a thing of Pam spray and some Bounce dryer sheets (we desperately need both.)  Overall, the total after store sales was $39.38, and with coupons I ended up paying only $22.90.  Considering I didn't have a coupon for the Bounce sheets (they were on sale though, for $3.49), and I also picked up some BBQ sauce with a coupon that was expiring, so each of those ended up being $.98 (great deal, right?)... So, I'm pretty happy with the take! :)~

Sentry Trip 5/3/11

Hidy ho, folks!

I thought I'd share my Milwaukee couponing trip to the Sentry's on 71st and Lisbon today.  I did some research and compiled a shopping list in excel ('cause I'm a huge nerd.)  I cross reference Sentry's advertised specials with the coupons in my binder.  I've noticed that a lot of blogs and websites based in Wisconsin or the midwest don't talk much about Sentry's.  I know it can be confusing because they are individually owned, but they also can be quite rewarding.

Here's what I got:

Here's the way my shopping list looked:

$.40/1 (3x) New York Cheese Toast or Dip N Sticks = $0.85 each
$.50/1 (3x) Betty Crocker Supreme Brownie/Dessert Bar Mix =$0.99 each
.75/3 (9x) Betty Crocker Helpers on sale $10/10 = $0.50 each
$.50/2 (6x)  Chex Mix = $0.49 each
$1/1 (3x) Kraft Homestyle Mac & Cheese = $0.49 each
$.60/2 (2x) Yoplait Greek Yogurt 10/$10 = $0.40 each
$.50/2 (3x) Betty Crocker fruit snacks = $0.99 each

$45.71 total
-$25.30 savings  (55.3% savings!)
I paid $20.41 out of pocket!

Don't forget the coupon policy at this Sentry's:
1.  Double coupons on Tuesdays & Thursdays up to $1.
2.  No limit on the number of coupons doubled!
3.  No more than 3 of the same coupon may be used.
4.  No internet coupons accepted.

Walgreens yesterday... It's RAZOR time!

Okay, so I have to share my couponing victory with you guys.  Today I did a little Walgreens shopathon because they're having such great deals on razors.

They do a thing called "Register Rewards," when you buy certain products, you get Register Rewards, which are coupons worth various dollar amounts good toward your next visit.  Awesome sauce.

I did three separate visits to get this bunch of goodies, valued at $107.7, for only $25.41.

Keep in mind, the advertised SALE for just the two razors in the middle there (Gillete Fusion) was $9.89 EACH.  But, I got all these goodies for $25.41, and we will not have to worry about buying razors for a LONG time.

You can do it, too.  Just pair up sales with coupons, especially for items with Register Rewards.  Make sure to familiarize yourself with the coupon policy so you do it right. (ie: you have to have one item for each coupon or RR you use.  They don't have to correspond, but if you're using 5 coupons + 5 RR coupons, you need ten items.  That's why you see candy there (for Dan...) - because it's one of the cheapest things in the store right now.  They're $.49 each.)

:)~

Extreme Couponing... Started it all.

Okay.

I don't know if you guys have heard of, or have watched TLC's Extreme Couponing show.  I was immediately intrigued and amazed and scared by it.  But, I was also inspired.  If (at the very extreme side) these people can get such amazing deals, why am I not couponing?  WHY am I not COUPONING?!

... Well, I am now.  I am pretty proud and excited by my first ever coupon / double coupon trip.  I thought I'd share how I did with you guys.  Oh, and pictures, too!

Here's my binder:
